Drone activity is tightly regulated by the Irish Aviation Authority and permits to fly are required in controlled airspace. In the case of Class C airspace (most areas) a three week waiting period can be expected as Air Traffic Control conduct their hazard assessment. Please inform AFI of location in plenty of time to submit application. The IAA wish to be advised of all maneuvers in controlled and uncontrolled airspace. Secondary ground location permits may still be required by the production company from the relevant governing body (eg. Mountain Rangers or The Office OF Public Works) if it is a public space.
